$2 Portraits: ?
My friend Eric Klein and I met this fellow on Shattuck Avenue in Berkeley the other day.
We asked twice but weren’t able to understand his name, because everything he said was unintelligible word salad. The name he gave us seemed to be a dozen syllables long and made no sense:

He did appear to be able to comprehend speech, though, and indicated he was living in a nearby hotel when I asked him if he had a place to stay. And from what we could gather, it sounded as if he might originally be from Los Angeles.
I hope he’s able to receive some kind of medical and psychological care.
