Well, apparently they were back then and still are today for people of all ages. The thing that I love most about colouring pages is that it allows me the opportunity to share a small aspect of my past with my children. Although they find it comical that some of the coloring page characters such as the care bears, tinkerbell, and strawberry shortcake were around when I was a child. It is important to understand that color by number books and e-books are designed for kids, who have particular difficulties with learning and also attentiveness. Lots of adults have appreciated the advantages that these coloring pages offer. The key advantage of color by number books is that they actually turn the whole process of learning in to an exciting gameplay. Therefore your child will study maths basics whilst having a great time with various images.

In Toy Story, Buzz Lightyear is given to a boy named Andy Davis from his mother as a birthday present. Buzz is uncertain that he is just a toy modeled after the character, believing that he is a bona fide Space Ranger instead, and that it is his mission to protect the galaxy from the Evil Emperor Zurg, as well as that his laser is a fatal weapon and his wings enable him to fly. He quickly becomes Andy’s favorite toy, making Andy’s original favorite toy, a cowboy doll named Sheriff Woody, feel jealous. The effects of Woody’s jealousy eventually leads both him and Buzz to be captured by Sid Phillips, the toy-torturing boy who lives next door to Andy’s house. While imprisoned in Sid’s house, Buzz Lightyear sees a television ad featuring himself and realizes that he is a toy and not a Space Ranger. But when he tries to fly out of the window, he falls, causing him to break his arm. Upon understanding this, Buzz Lightyear becomes depressed, but Woody eventually convinces him that it is a good thing. Buzz regains hope and working together, the two escape Sid, return to Andy (who decides that Woody and Buzz are his joint favorite toys) and become best friends.

Older children may become bored with coloring and prefer to create their own images. This is a natural progression, and one parents should welcome. Nevertheless, coloring does have a place in child development and can become part of his or her daily routine. Some children may have difficulty expressing themselves; however, as they continue to be creative they will often start to open up more readily. Colouring is a great way to express themselves and their ideas, particularly if they have problems they do not know how to cope with. It is used to bring subconscious thoughts to the surface and help children to understand them. You might not realise it yet you are helping the environment as you do not need paper to draw and colour images. With the availability of multiple images offered by today's technology you will never be at a loss for finding the image you want. If you can't find the exact image you are looking for you may be able to find somebody who would be willing to create one for you and a new creation will be born! Next time you are looking for a coloring page for your kids take a quick look at what is available right at your finger tips from your computer. With just an internet connection you will have limitless resources to entertain on those rainy days. Me and my wee lad are big fans of Disney's movies. So you can be sure I always have Disney pictures on standby. Give him anything with Pluto or Donald Duck on and he will be very happy! Even the newer Disney stars like Handy Manny are very popular with him and I am happy that like all of their products, these characters are positive role models. You don't have to worry about anything your child may see when they are watching a Disney show! My secret wish and hope is that when he grows a little he will enjoy superheroes as much as I did at his age. I ate, slept and drank Superheroes practically when I was a young teen and really hope we can have this in common too. Batman and Superman were my favourites and I have already seen plenty of cool pictures that we could have a lot of fun together working on! I think all boys grow into a thirst for safe adventure and drama so hopefully my wishes will come true and soon I can be telling him about the adventures of his heroes while we select colors for Batman's cape! Whether you are a preschool teacher or a parent, you will only be all too aware of the need to keep your children constantly occupied and amused, otherwise they will get restless, agitated and irritable. Trying to do find an activity that will sustain their interest for any reasonable length of time as well as one that will not actually pose any level of risk or danger to the child can be a task easier said than done. Contrary to what you may think, children are not involved in a mass conspiracy designed specifically to make your life as difficult as possible, rather, they lack the emotional and intellectual maturity to appreciate that certain activities are wrong, or are "naughty" because they are dangerous.
